Hey Lola, pull my finger!

Max thought he could trick Lola into pulling his finger but fortunately (or unfortunately) Lola is all too familiar with these antics since her Grandfather tries this trick often.
Lola and Max had a fun time at their play date but they missed Rowan and hope he's feeling all better!
Thanks to Max for having us over!

A Perfect Gentleman for a Perfect Lady

Lola met Rowan for a special Valentine's Day play date this afternoon. Rowan, very handsomely dressed, greeted Lola with flowers and chocolates. He is such a smart boy and clearly knows how important this holiday is!

Being a gentleman he stood by Lola's side while she was on the fire truck making sure to be there in case she needed him. He was pretty quiet for most of the play date and we wondered "what's up with Rowan, he's so serious tonight" and then it happened... he kissed Lola! He leaned in very slowly and planted one on her! Imagine the excitement in the room, their FIRST kiss!!! Unfortunately I didn't have my camera ready but Jeff did so check The Daily Squink for photos. It's now obvious why Rowan was so quiet & serious, he was nervous waiting for that perfect moment!

It's really something how cute these two are together!

Lola also had a fun day at school today. The girls were all dressed up for the big holiday while Brody (being a typical male) forgot it was Valentine's Day!

Not always the cutest baby ever!

OK OK so Lola can't be PERFECT ALL THE TIME! This is an example of what happens after a wild & crazy day of pooping her pants at school (she's already been through one change of clothes and is now borrowing clothes from Brody)!
Then she comes home, continues to go potty and had the nerve to get doo doo all over Brody's onesie! At this point we stripped her down and gave her a bath. Where does all the doodie come from?
Oh wait... maybe it was that shrimp chimichanga from El Toro? ha ha, just kidding!
And to top it off her pig tails fell out!
What a train wreck!

Fashion Lola Style

Fashion Week has come and gone in NYC but fashion is going strong here! To the left you will see a fabulous design by BADGLEY MISCHKA which I can totally pull off with my hot post baby body, not!

Sure, BADGLEY MISCHKA has awesome designs but they don't compare to Lola's favorite designer Mrs. Lesniewicz. Mrs. L has made some wonderful & unique designs for Lola!

Please take a moment to enjoy the on-line fashion show below:

Lola is modeling her favorite bloomers! Her designer has matched her bedroom theme of "vintage western"

Our model now shows off a matching hat & bootie set. This set is made of recycled sweaters with wonderful cow print on the inside to spice things up a bit. This set keeps Lola's feet & ears warm while she continues to look great!

Lola is sure to be the talk of the town while out and about in this number! She enjoys wearing the coat & hat and says "it makes me feel sassy!"

And below Lola attends a meeting with her designer. They are discussing the fall 2008 line.
Thanks for everything Mrs. L, we love you!

Important Information for New Parents!

This post provides essential information for my pregnant sister
in law (Millicent) as well as a couple of pregnant friends (Debbie, Melissa & Holli) as they all venture off into parenthood!

Being a first time paranoid and neurotic Mom I’ve done a ton of reading!

Books and magazines provide so much information on how to properly raise a baby. And thank goodness for google! But in all seriousness there’s a lot of information you need to know when raising a baby! I was shocked when I first asked Lola to blow her nose into a tissue and she didn’t do it!

I’ve included a few visual aids for you girls. Good luck and get busy reading, there’s a lot to learn! Who knew you had to study up and be prepared to raise a kid?

Hopefully this information will be useful to you and your husbands. If you follow all the rules and read the right books you may end up with a perfect baby like the one shown below!

Debbie is definitely having twins!

I finally got to see Debbie tonight at Thai 9 for her baby shower. She looks great!!! And as expected when carrying twins, her belly is pretty big.... Although I do have to say I didn't think it would be this big! From what I can gather by observing her belly the babies seem to be stretching. OK, maybe not but it sure appears that way!
These little ones aren't due to make their debut until April which means Debbie will get even bigger. But what's the big deal, cats have like 5 kittens is their belly!

And in other baby news Lola is doing great! She's got 3 teeth up top and a fourth one making its way through! She takes her oral health very seriously and brushes every single day!

Baby May be Claustrophbic

All I know is that if I was a kid and this awesome tunnel was in front of me I would be all about it! I can speak for my 33 year old cousin as well, this is totally our scene! Unfortunately not so much for Lola. She sat on the other side and stared at me and if she couldn't see me she would freak out and the tears would start. I called and called and finally she thought she may give it a try...
You can see the look of terror on her face as she inches towards me.
This is as far as she got. Within seconds she turned around and got the heck out of there!

So Happy 33rd Birthday to my #1 Prima!!!!
I love you!!!!!!!

Play Date at Lola's

Lola hosted her first play date this morning. She had herself all worked up prior to her guests arriving because she didn't know what to wear! I reminded her that she had the cowgirl dress from Brody's Mom and that I thought today was the perfect occasion to wear it.
Lola's best friends Brody, Max & Rowan came over for a couple of hours. They all loved the train that Brody brought over to share!
4 babies = 4 Mom's with cameras which means there were more flashes going off then the paparazzi following Britney Spears!

Rowan likes how Lola shakes it!

Lola had her friend Rowan over for visit tonight. He needed a place to hang out while his parents hit the town! They had a nice visit together. They shared some toys & watched a video. As you can see in the above photo Lola didn't mind sharing her Daddy because she was totally distracted by her Sesame Jamboree video. (Honestly we don't even think she knew we were there)
Prior to the Jamboree Rowan was showing off for Lola. He's a strong boy and he wanted to be sure she knew it! Since Lola is only doing the army crawl she was very impressed at Rowan's skills! Not only is he crawling all over the place (sorry Jeff & Angela for the dog hair on his jammies) but he's standing up on Lola's talking chair! Amazing!

These two make quite a pair!
