toot toot!

That's the sound of me tooting my own horn.

Why?

Because using my Mother's sewing machine from her high school years I made this dress for Lola! This is a huge accomplishment for someone whose nemesis is a needle & thread. This dress should fit Lola for the next couple of years since it's a little roomy.

Thank you gigi for teaching me how to read a pattern & make a dress! yay for me! toot toot!

Cute dress Emilee. I made my own Christmas dress one year. It was a short lived hobby for me.

Good job! I love the fabric. I'm here for any pointers, also. I used to make my own prom dresses in high school - and not like that ugly thing she made in Pretty in Pink, either.

Not only that but Angela knows the name of all fabrics (I know very few) because she worked at JoAnn's in high school. Anyway, I think you did an excellent job and will look forward to many, many more. You've put me to shame, I must get busy.
