shoulder update

I should have posted an update yesterday but I slept the day away. Long story short I either have a pinched nerve or a muscle strain.
Aside from dull pain on inhalation I felt good today. I took my ibuprofen 800 this morning so I'm sure that helped.
I had my follow up doctor appointment this morning. Since I was feeling good today he wants to give it a few days to see if the pain goes away. At about 6pm tonight the pain started up again so I took more ibuprofen and hydrocodone-acetaminophen. We'll see how the next couple of days go.
Thanks everyone for your calls & concerns and a special thank you to my Mother in Law who was so kind to come out to the house at midnight and sit around here until about 4am!

...on jammies ONLY!

Lola has discovered the Disney Princesses and she is hooked. At this point in time she wants to wear her princess jammies every night (3 in a row so far) and read her princess books. In the car she has been watching her Barbie Princess & the Pauper DVD and is constantly reminding me that "Barbie is a princess Mom"
We aren't really sure where she saw the Disney Princesses or what began this princess kick. Is this something most girls go through?

I can totally deal with the princess obsession. I like the books, movies & dolls and as long as the characters stay on jammies I'm fine with it. However I am preparing myself for the day I have to tell her no when she wants the Princess sweatshirt or the Hannah Montana t-shirt. arugh!

And in other important news:
I asked Lola tonight what her bitty baby's name is. She replied "Erica" and proceeded to feed Erica and put her to bed. Not sure if Lola has a friend at school named Erica. I will investigate.

Aaron gets a new do

Aaron normally uses his electric shaver to cut his hair but tonight I used straight razors for a Bruce Willis shave. It took 3 razors to get through that head of hair.

In baby news, Lola is still cute.

Feelings get hurt but hugs make everything all better

While at the park today Lola managed to hurt Rowan's feelings, not once but a couple of times. She has mastered telling her friends "no" and Rowan takes this very seriously. In protest he will lay flat on the ground making it clear that his feelings have been hurt. Lola was promptly instructed to apologize in which she did, followed by a hug.
How could I NOT post this perfectly adorable photo of these two?!

Toddler Shenanigans

The other night I left the dinner table for a minute and when I returned Lola's spoon was in her hair placed as if she was using it as a trendy hair accessory. She thought this was pretty hilarious. I thought it was prefect and looked absolutely fab. I got her a new spoon and she proceeded to finish her dinner with her new hair accessory perfectly atop of that little noggin. I feel very proud of her creative style.
What a nut!

Lola has had a very busy spring so far. During the week she spends all day at school playing with Rowan and then has him over on the weekends so that she can take her toys away from him.

Last weekend she had her friend Sam over for a walk. He brought his super cool wagon and off they went.

Katie's visit & a ton of photos

We had a great time last week when Katie visited all the way from Abilene, Texas. She brought Lola a super cute coffee maker for her kitchen and how did Lola thank her? By pretending to be a newborn baby of course. With Katie expecting her first baby and all Lola figured it would only be helpful to Katie if she got in some practice while she was visiting. This is pretty much Lola's most FAVORITE game ever and at any given time she has the ability to transform from Lola to newborn baby.
