Well it's safe to say that the children got plenty of use out of their costumes this year. Photos from Halloween at the USAF Museum, pumpkin carving, Halloween at Faketown and photos from trick-or-treating are all included in the link below.
I've also posted a video I took while carving pumpkins last weekend.

Trick-or-Treat
While up in Toledo last weekend Lola had a chance to practice her trick-or-treating by visiting Hal, Becky & Fan. As to be expected her routine went perfectly!
She is totally ready for this weekend.
P.S. I'm sure the group over at Lemairica will be SO IMPRESSED with Fan's sweatshirt!!! This is the LOLApalooza shout out to LSU!

Lola & Stella
(post one of many)
Lola and I went to Toledo to visit Jenny & Stella this weekend. Unfortunately our plan of attending the Boo at the Zoo failed due to weather.
Lola enjoyed Baby Stella very much and wanted to hold her, kiss her, take her pacifier in and out of her mouth, give her a bath and play in her crib with her. This was all possible because Jenny is a very laid back new Mom. I NEVER would have allowed such antics and ordered most children away from my newborn (other newborns excluded).
Lola got to visit Kelsey at Tony Packo's where she got some sweet hots and chicken chili to take home for her Dad. She also got to visit Amy and the two seemed to bond. I think Amy appreciated Lola's wacky side (as seen below). Be sure to check out the video at the end of the post where Amy records Lola's version of So What by Pink, a very appropriate song for a 2 year old.
Jen & Stella, thank you for a very nice weekend! We love & miss you girls!

The Leaves are Falling Down
Since Lola has been in the toddler room she comes home quite often singing new songs she has learned at school. Some of the songs I've never heard of, like this one below. I assume its titled: The Leaves are Falling Down.
Enjoy

Lola: world's youngest DVM
With Aaron still laid off of work we've had to cut back on our expenses. Unfortunately we simply can't afford dental care for Bruce right now. It's a good thing we have Lola who does an excellent job of examining his teeth, checking his heart, his paws, his eyes and his nose. She is quite the little vet and has put her doctor's kit to good use!
In case you don't remember from many previous posts, Bruce is the best dog ever!

twin jammies
Lola would like to thank Rowan & Lydia's Marmie for her cute new ballerina jammies. She especially loves that Lydia has a matching pair. Not only are these girls lucky to have cute twin jammies, they are also lucky that they have Firefighter Rowan to keep them safe from all the scary blazes around these parts.
THANK YOU MARMIE!

Lola meets Lady
Last weekends trip to our normal pumpkin patch turned from sadness to huge amounts of fun pretty quickly! We drove to our normal pumpkin patch only to find out it was shut down like Wally World. We were super bummed. I called Angela right away in a panic and she suggested that maybe our new corn maze had pumpkins. Turned out she was right AND they had a horse too! We picked pumpkins, played on the pirate ship, saw Max and his Mom & Dad and best of all, Lola went on her first horse ride. She loved Lady and now when we pass the corn maze instead of saying "CORN MAZE!" she asks "where's Lady?"
Enjoy photos from our day below.

Wee-Free Wednesday = big success!
The first Wednesday of the month is known to us girls as Wee-Free Wednesday. Wee-Free Wednesday is our official girls night out, free of the wee-ones. One of our girlfriends (who shall remain nameless) decided to change it up a bit and call it Wiener-Free Wednesday. Hey, whatever works for her.
This past Wednesday we went to The Melting Pot for fondue. Anytime I have a bowl of melted cheese in front of me I'm happy. Unfortunately they didn't have Velveeta on the menu so we had to order up some fancy cheddar.
What's not a big success is when I have to say goodbye to my daughter. As you can see below she is devastated that I am leaving for the night. Actually I'm lying. She is devastated that I am trying to get a photo taken with her. My once perfect baby loves to challenge me every chance she gets.... challenging Mommy is the greatest thing ever.

Lola should probably have a valid driver's license
Lola and Rowan got to drive some pretty cool Power Wheels on Saturday at the Beavercreek Township Fire Department. After some intense maneuver ability training they both passed the test and got their official Try a Truck Driver's License!
Great Job kids! You drive a lot better than some people in real cars.

quick cousin visit
Lola, Aaron and I were so excited to find out that Julie was going to be here for a surprise visit! The visit was only 2 days and it went by super fast but we loved having her here!!! We managed to get a lot done in a short amount of time. We visited WPAFB where Julie got to see Lola's school, meet her teachers, see where I work, meet select co-workers (those of you who met her consider yourself lucky) and tour some retired aircraft.
Some other things we did:
*colored our hair
*went to the Melting Pot
*went to Marshall's (twice)
*went to Target
*stayed up late
*had pizza with Angela & kids
Some things Julie did:
*talked on her phone
*finished a book
Prima thanks so much for finding time for a visit, we love and miss you already!
