I'm too lazy to blog today because I've been online figuring out my facebook page. I'm ready to get off the computer and watch a movie with my love (no, not Bruce... Aaron)
Since I'm too lazy to blog right now I'm going to let my friends blog for me.
Check out this video that Katie posted of Aaron, Ian & a glimpse of Lola.
And don't miss The Daily Sqiunk's post about kids day at the ballpark.
Enjoy!

Fun with antique toys
Sorry Grandpa Chuck but I'm pretty sure it's considered an antique...I decided to get down Chuck's fire truck this morning for Lola. I normally keep it up on a shelf in my kitchen for decoration since it's a pretty cool old toy (once again, sorry). As most of you know I like to collect antique toys. Some are put away and some are displayed throughout the house. Lola thought Grandpa's fire truck was cool! It's due for a good cleaning since it gets pretty dusty up on that shelf but with a little TLC it will shine again!

Thank You Grammie Donna!!!!
Lola would like to thank Rowan's Grammie Donna for making her what we call the cutest sweater EVER! Rowan was very nice to bring this hand knit sweater to Lola on Tuesday when they met at Faketown for dinner & fun fountains. Lola was super excited to try it on and I have to say that it looks fabulous on her! It's going to fit perfectly this fall and will keep her nice and warm. We know how hard Grammie Donna worked on this sweater but what we can't figure out is how she found the time what with Jeff making her take care of the baby, do the dishes, clean the house, do the laundry, mow the lawn, brush Lily, change the oil in the car, re-roof the house and put new blacktop on the driveway.
THANK YOU Donna, we love this perfect sweater!!! And to Rowan, thanks for sharing your awesome Grammie with Lola!

Rock Band keeps people indoors at a cookout
Ryan and Katie had everyone over for a cookout on Sunday. Katie whipped up some mad burgers and Ryan worked the grill. The food was awesome as it always is when Katie is cooking. Lola drank 1400mL of water (only because drinking water from a sports bottle is cool) and proceeded to put 5 lbs of fluids in each diaper for the next 5 diapers!
It didn't take too long for Ian and Aaron to get involved in what else but video games. Ryan has Rock Band, this is the extended version of Guitar Hero which Ian has mastered. The boys pretty much played Rock Band the entire time aside from taking a quick break to go outside and toss around the football and another break to eat a burger.
Angela was quick to point out that in the most recent edition of Parenting magazine there was an article that stated the BEST thing a parent can do for their child is to buy them video games. If this is true then my husband wins Father of the Decade and will continue to win this award, there isn't another Dad out there that stands a chance! Seriously. I do get Parenting magazine and I plan on reading this article since I need to be educated on why buying video games for your child is the BEST thing you can do. What happened to reading books?
Lola looking pretty cute and fashionable dancing at the cookout/concert.
Lola and Rowan had some fun dancing at the concert and like at any real Black Sabbath concert there's normally chaos follwed by some crying.
For more photos from the cookout and other July stuff click here.
Also, be sure to check out these photos from Jeff & Angela's 5th of July party.

The twins visit!
We had a wonderful visit with Debbie and her twin girls, Bronx & Anora, on Saturday. Debbie handles being the mother of twins like it's nothing. I said "this is crazy, how do you do it? Lola alone keeps me so busy!" She said "This is not crazy, triplets are crazy!" Debbie has the girls on the same schedule, it's amazing. They eat at the same time and they sleep at the same time so when they were napping I helped Debbie set up her blog. Check it out at The Tricky Two.

pre-toddler faker
Everyday before I pick Lola up from school I like to spy on her from the TV monitors in the lobby. She is always having a GREAT time playing with her friends and all of the awesome toys so I know she is having fun, I can see it with my very eyes. I slowly enter the classroom, I try to be quiet so that I can monitor her for a minute. I watch as she plays, laughs and keeps herself busy. Then she spots me. The fun times are now a thing of the past... she instantly gets herself into a little panic and tries to get to me as fast as she can because she has obviously had a terrible day. She looks at me as if to say "Oh Mommy, thank goodness you are here, this has been awful!" Sure faker, I'm not falling for it, two seconds ago you were having the time of your life with the plastic shopping cart and little baby doll.
Why does she do this?
Why am I still trying to figure her out?
Below you will witness the drama unfold.

Social at the social
Today was the ice cream social at work and as you can see in the above photo everyone is having a freakin blast!!! Wahooo, party at the ice cream social! On the wall behind us you’ll see our heritage of leadership. Perhaps someday one of these ice cream junkies will be on that wall! I choose Ryan, anyone that puts this much whipped topping on his ice cream would make an excellent leader. (An important face is missing from this group social. That's because someone thinks ice cream socials are for girls.)
In shocking baby news Lola wears a color that’s not pink!
P.S. Why does my hair resemble a male pilgrim in the above photo?

Dance Party!
Lola is a huge Hannah Montana fan! Here she is watching her concert on DVD and practicing her sweet dance moves before being distracted by the paparazzi and by paparazzi I mean me.
And below Lola briefly demonstrates the twist.

Uh-oh coasters are on the floor
Not sure what the big whoop is but someone is all in a tizzy about the coasters being on the floor.
P.S. As fas as her gear goes, cut me some slack, she has hand foot & mouth. Come on!

So long Brody, we will miss you!!!!!
Brody and his family are off to Scranton Pennsylvania, we said good-bye to them on Friday. We are so sad to see them move. Lola is sure to miss Brody at school and I am going to miss talking with Brody's Mom daily! It's never easy to say bye to great friends. We wish you all well in your new town!
The long weekend is winding down and I am SO HAPPY to have my house finished! It took me 2 hours to hang the quilts on Lola's walls, a job that should have taken 30 minutes max. It was a total pain in the rear but worth it. After posting this I plan on lying on the couch, eating oreos and watching TV!
Enjoy this video of Lola playing in her new room and click here for more photos from the nice long weekend.

It's pink!
much like this blog
Thanks to all of gigi's help we have completed our new rooms and Lola's perfectly pink bedroom screams girl from a mile away! (Complete with framed images of vintage Barbie)
The rooms turned out great and I feel so much more organized as I had to clean out drawers, shelves, under beds, etc. I love Lola's new room SO MUCH that I slept in it last night! I put her toys on the bottom shelves and so far she loves taking her toys off the shelf, putting them in the drawer and then taking them out of the drawer and putting them back on the shelves.
Click here for photos of the rest of the redecorating.
Note: We are still looking for art work for Lola's walls. So far I haven't found anything I like. This isn't going to be an easy task.

no time for blogging
We've decided to keep Mom pretty busy while she's in town, work work work. I'm cracking the whip! Which unfortunately means I have very little time to bog since I'm the one that has to crack that whip. Once all painting is complete (we begin Lola's room tonight) I'll be back in the swing of things. Rest assured I will be twittering.
Until then enjoy this photo of my little Lily Tomlin look alike.
And Happy 30th Birthday to Aaron! Lola has decided to celebrate your birthday by going out and getting hand, foot & mouth disease. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
P.S. The orange you see in the above photo is the first coat and is over yellow, it looks crazy bright. Second coat did wonders. More photos to follow.
